GENERAL ROLE DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for providing support the 3D design of Disney Resorts across different disciplines, including: 3D modeling, model coordination, technical troubling, software problem solving based on Disney’s CAD system. Particular responsibility is to implement design concept into software and facilitate design team review the design output.
CORE FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will be responsible for technical support to the Disney Design Team regarding 3D modeling.
• To provide 3D solution to realize the design concept.
• To assist the design team review the design output across different disciplines based on each milestone.
• To consolidate 3D model from the teams in different time zones.
• Assist design manager to make the design meet project milestones.
• Will work closely with CAD team to ensure the design quality based on Disney’s CAD Standard.
• Be updated regarding the technical troubleshooting in 3D design.
• Will be sensitive to the best practices for using design software.
• Be good at using multiple 3D software to do 3D design.
• Be experience in working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Highly self motivated and directed.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• An expert understanding of the functionalities in multiple 3D design Software (such as: AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil, Revit Architecture, etc.).
• An expert understanding in plotting systems as applied to CAD applications.
• An expert knowledge in using Navisworks to review and analyze the 3D design model (such as clash detection, etc.).
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin – capable of speaking, reading and writing in both language.
• An expert understanding of Desktop applications or Revit series including installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
• An expert understanding of Operating Systems (OS).
• Troubleshooting

• Software working knowledge
• Knowledge of other design applications and their interoperability with CAD, such as Adobe products and Microsoft Office products.
JOB SPECIFIC SCOPE:
• Project(s): Due to the various projects, attractions and disciplines supported, the 3D Technician could assist any discipline under the division.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
• Primary Relationships - This position reports to the Shanghai CAD Manager and the Design Manager.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• BA degree or above in engineering area (Architecture, HVAC, Electrical or Plumbing would be preferred.).
• Working experiences in local design institute would be preferred;
• An expert knowledge of CAD applications including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, Sketchup and LandFX.
• Ability to handle a very broad scope of work activities working under very limited direction of a manager.
• Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least three years experience working with CAD, Desktop applications or Revit series.
